Speedway Tour

Feel the Thrill on a Speedway Tour!

The Feel the Thrill Tour at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been enhanced to provide you with an opportunity to see areas of the legendary superspeedway that are not accessible to fans on race days and learn the storied history of “The Greatest Place to See the Race”. This exciting tour lasts nearly an hour and allows fans to experience the extreme 24-degree banking in the turns when the tour van takes a lap around the 1.5-mile track. You will also get to see the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series garages located in the infield, travel the two infield road courses, ride down pit road and stop for a picture in Victory Circle.

Tickets: $9 for adults and children 13 and older; $7 for seniors (55 and older), military personnel and children 12 and under (If a child needs a car seat, please provide your own)
Times: Non-event days Monday through Saturday at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and Sunday at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Please note the following dates when no Speedway Tours are available: 

Thursday and Friday, November 24th and 25th – Thanksgiving Day and Souvenir/Race Ticket Blow-Out (drive your car on the track)
Monday and Tuesday, December 5th and 6th – Private Track Rental
Saturday and Sunday, December 24th and 25th – Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Saturday and Sunday, December 31st and January 1st – New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day

Tours begin at the Tour Desk at Charlotte Motor Speedway. All tour participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Over The Wall Tour

The new Over the Wall Tour includes the entire Feel the Thrill Tour experience but fans will also have the opportunity to walk on the track surface, stroll down pit road, witness amazing views from atop the Ford Grandstand, visit one of the speedway’s 113 suites and see the luxurious Speedway Club. The Over the Wall experience also includes a tour of the Infield Care Center, Performance Racing Network’s studios, Time Warner Media Center, and Victory Circle.  Finally, you’ll get a close up view of the Dirt Track and the Bellagio of drag strips, the state-of-the-art zMAX Dragway   Each tour begins at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Tour Desk located in the Ticket Office lobby, and lasts nearly two hours.  This tour is limited to fans 10 years of age or older. 

Before or after your tour, you have the opportunity to enjoy lunch in our luxurious Speedway Club.

Tickets: $17 for adults and children 13 and older; $15 for seniors (55 and older) and military personnel

Times: Non-event days, Monday through Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Advance reservations are recommended.

NASCAR Hall of Fame Tour

Take a tour through NASCAR history!

Enhance your racing experience to "The Greatest Place to See the Race" with a visit to the spectacular NASCAR Hall of Fame! No worries about parking, traffic or ticket lines…just sit back and relax. You’ll get to spend close to 3 hours in NASCAR history – hear the stories, see and touch the cars, examine memorabilia, hands-on interactive stations and more! Admission tickets, all taxes and gratuities are included. $39 per person for ages 10 and older and $33 for children 3-9.

NEW FOR MAY 2012 – All NASCAR Hall of Fame Tours will visit the Sam Bass Gallery, where you will see displays of original paintings and limited edition prints that document special moments in the sports history, all done by NASCAR’s first officially licensed artist.
